August 10th Team Meeting

This was our first team meeting, held at the Stevens Memorial Library from 6:30-7:30. Students, parents, and coaches/mentors attended. Here's a quick overview of what we accomplished:

• What is FLL? We watched a video of the Zoom team's experience competing in FLL, and discussed the three main components of an FLL competition: Robot Game, Research Project, and Core Values. We briefly discussed this year's challenge theme: too much trash!
• Ice Breaker Game/Paperwork: students played a game and talked about teamwork and persistence while parents filled in the Team Info Sheet and Media Release forms.
• Team Logistics: we discussed what we would be doing in our August meetings and how drop off and pick up would work once school starts.
